Other than the obvious clothes and diapers, these are the times that can make a significant difference in your everyday routine.
- Twin Z: I can’t recommend this enough. This grows with your twins and can be used as a feeding location, reading station, spot for (always supervised!) naps, and so much more. I have used this multiple times a day everyday.
- Stroller: It’s good to set small goals. For me, it was getting out of the house every day for fresh air. Though, that certainly didn’t happen, having a stroller suitable for your needs is a must.
- Ikea Mats: I used these mats every day. Inside, it gave a nice cushioned space for tummy time or a soft landing when gaining mobility. I would also put these on my deck as a clean, safe space to get outdoor time together. Lastly, it’s great for travel. I would bring these when we visited family for even a few hours so they could enjoy some floor time safely.
- Bottles and Accessories: If you’re pumping or using formula, these are a must.
- Floor Play Centers: This can help the babies learn to reach and play. You really one need one and there’s many options out there. The keyboard one is a crowd pleaser but I also love that the Finding Nemo one can fit both babies at the same time for a few months.
- Car Seats
- Cribs/bassinets
- Baby products/soaps
- Age appropriate toys like O Ball / high contrast cards, and teethers
- Recliner for the nursery – This makes the sleepless nights easier, especially if you have a c-section. If you get one with a remote controlled recline, it will be significantly easier to get in and out in those early recovery days. It can also be a big asset toward the end of pregnancy, as well.
